What My Clients Say

“I’ve always been sold on the value of a coach. I received so much from it as an athlete - guidance, direction, blind-spot detection, and more. What I wasn’t certain of was how to find a “good coach” and when I looked, for the most part, I saw folks that I didn’t want to be coached by. When I met Yash by chance, I was in the process of chatting with another potential coach, after our first conversation and learning he was a coach I was pretty sure I wanted to work with him. This had as much to do with his breadth of knowledge as it did with the level of curiosity he brought to a conversation with a practical stranger.

I knew to make the most of coaching I’d need to show up and be vulnerable, something that’s not natural for me in my day to day, and before starting I worried I would struggle to do show up that way. I’m not sure what Yash did, but from the first session I realized I loved the opportunity to be vulnerable and it felt almost natural.

My favorite part of this work has been how much I’ve learned about myself. This created the place and space to step outside myself and examine my past, present, and future with a smart and unbiased third-party. Many fundamentals of “me” became a lot clearer through this work.

I’d become a father about 18 months before starting to work with Yash. That changed my life in a number of ways, some that led to conflicts at the level of my values. Things I’d taken for granted as “this is what I expect and what I value” had shifted, mostly without my noticing. I learned I had been measuring myself against a set of values that I was no longer living by. And I wasn’t living by them for good reason - because I no longer held them as core values, but I hadn’t updated my narrative. This led to a lot of self-flagellation and the work made it so much easier to feel good about what I was doing and how I was living.

What surprised me the most about this work is that Yash melds coaching and therapy in his work. Yash has a post that speaks to the delineation between a coach and a therapist, his take being that there isn’t one. Before this work, I wouldn’t have agreed. Now I do.

I think anyone benefits from a coach at any time. We’re all struggling with something, but the people that need it most are folks in transition. Transition is hard. Finding your footing in a new landscape takes time and can be painful, but I think it’s one of the best times to learn a lot about yourself, especially because your old self may not serve you as well as you think on the other side.

"I wanted to work with Yash because someone referred him to me on Fishbowl. I was specifically looking for a coach who has consulting experience and I really liked that Yash takes a holistic approach to the whole self, including spiritual and Buddhist philosophy.

Before working with Yash, I was concerned that the assignments outside of sessions would be a lot, but Yash and I worked through action items I was able to do within my capacity. I felt very supported by him throughout the process of coaching.

My favorite part of this work has been understanding that work is a part of life and Yash’s focus on depth. I feel satisfied at the end of our sessions because I’m able to completely process the thoughts and feelings I come in with. I feel like I’m talking to someone who is an equal to me (especially intellectually), and I haven’t felt this with other therapists and coaches. I felt that we were on a spiritual journey together.

The biggest transformation I got is that I developed an inner narrative about my life and work that was significantly deeper than what I perceived at face value. I’ve developed a more unified holistic view of how my inner state affects my reality. I’ve fundamentally changed my philosophy and spiritual thinking, which results in the tactical changes I want.

What surprised me the most about working with Yash is that working with him has been more than therapy. I came in thinking coaching would be a lot like therapy, but therapy can be too scientific. Yash did an incredible job of blending therapeutic techniques with an open-ended conversation. I didn’t feel like I was being walked through a “standard framework” like I have with other practitioners.

I would recommend Yash to people who have been “on the grind” for most of their lives and are feeling stuck and lost. People who are seeking direction and intentionality in their lives."

“Before I started working with Yash, I was at a major inflection point in my life both professionally and personally. I was seeking a coach to help me evaluate my options and make decisions with a level of rigor that I knew I couldn't apply on my own.

Yash was the exact coach I needed in that moment - someone who could structure complex personal challenges, hold me accountable with measurable goals, and teach new skills that would develop me as a leader and human. Every session ends with a plan and series of commitments, so you know you're making progress. No problem is too big or too small to crack. And on top of it all, you get to hang out with Yash, who is an intelligent, motivating individual that radiates positivity. I could not recommend working with Yash more.”

“I was drawn to Yash because I want to reach my full potential as a person and professional. I want to live a more prosperous, healthy lifestyle and I want to live a genuine, authentic life. I wanted to work with Yash because he genuinely and authentically wants to help people be the best versions of themselves. I could feel his belief in coaching as a metric to maximize flourishing. I was also drawn to the fact that we were closer in age. His energy and philosophy matched my own and this appealed to me.

Yash and I had several conversations that focused on me vetting his methodology and approach, and Yash vetting my commitment to this endeavor and his process. As a result, I did not have too many concerns because Yash gave me many chances to vet him and his philosophy. As a business offering, the service made a lot of sense. He is a professional, through and through.

My favorite part of working with Yash is that our work together has been novel. He brings a fresh, new perspective to problems and that is extremely rare. I immerse myself in self-development and can tend to feel like I’ve heard it all, yet every time we talk, I learn something new.

My biggest transformation is how much more energy, discipline, and focus I bring to my day and work. I went from a place of being tired and laying on the couch all the time to being 100% more productive, with 100% more energy after working with Yash. He has helped me bring intention to my day, and I’m performing at a higher level than ever while also living with joy.

I was most surprised about how effective and flexible Yash has been. He adapted his coaching to what I needed most at the time. If I showed up having an awful day, he met me where I was at, instead of dogmatically sticking to a “by the book” approach.

I recommend Yash to early-stage founders and first-time leaders of anything at any level (manager, director, VP, EVP, C-level).”

"At the beginning of working with Yash, I felt like I was drinking life from the fire hose. As a first-time founder, I felt thrown into uncharted territory. All of a sudden, I was alone and surrounded by problems. I didn’t feel that I had a strong capacity for how to mentally or emotionally process everything that was going on in my life.

I’d never worked with a coach before Yash, and I was generally skeptical of coaching. I didn’t know if it was worth my time, effort, and money. In our first session, Yash met me where I was at and focused on tooling me with basic breathwork and internal exploration exercises, which immediately helped me. So I signed up for more!

My favorite part of coaching has been that I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself. Yash made observations about me that I suspected, but never really dug into. The introspection of knowing when I’m working against myself or for myself has been transformative.

I’ve found a different way of viewing myself and the world around me. I’m more emotionally honest with myself and reflective on how I feel in my life and business. This manifested in many different ways, including recognition of how much I value my relationships and having more honest conversations with my co-founder.

I was surprised by how Yash partnered with me. We didn’t just work at the philosophical and emotional level, but also at the very tactical level of how to incorporate these learnings into my life. For example, I incorporated new, growth-oriented habits into my practice.

I recommend Yash to anyone that feels lonely at the top, they’re running too quickly and could benefit from an unbiased thought partner. Not just startup founders, but anyone at an inflection point in their life that isn’t feeling great and isn’t sure why, regardless of profession."
